Welcome to our Geldings page. At Oaklands Haven our geldings are bred from Australian Stock Horse lines. Most are registered Australian Stock Horse with the Stock Horse Society. Some are also registered Palomino or Buckskin with the APHA.

Slip was specifically bred to get both Chan and Radium bloodline. It was originally intended to keep him a stud. He has two foals to his credit (Jive and Tango). However, with the introduction of Chebel Bud the decision was made to geld Slip and give him a less demanding lifestyle. He is a lovely horse under saddle and has been to several outings including Stock Horse clinics and pony club events. He will remain here as a saddle horse.

Iggy is an absolute gem. He is completely full of character and attitude and has an agenda of his own. We started him under saddle late in 2007. He has since been to Pony Club and a Stock Horse clinic with much success. He has actually grown to 14h which was not expected. This is one of the smartest ponies I have ever had the pleasure to work with. His mother is second cross registered Australian Stock Horse, but he is not eligible. We are also now using him as a lead pony for our breakers. Our 9yr old niece has just started riding him and will pony club him in 2011.

Jive is an extremely quiet boy and a real sweetheart. He has been since the day he hit the ground. Jive will mature to around 16h and would be fantastic prospect for dressage or hacking. He has had all the basic training such as lead, tie-up, hobble, wash, float and trim. Jive is also registered Buckskin with the APHA. He has been sold and is now going well under saddle with his new owner.

Tango is the first foal from our baby Flirt. He has matured into a very nice lad and will make a good show or campdraft prospect. The typical “Barbie horse”, all the girls love him. And doesn’t he just suck it up. He is also registered Palomino (APHA). He was started under saddle in 2009 and has progressed well.
